The Daniel Bauer Academy is back with their second show at FDCI’s (Fashion Design Counsel of India) ICW 2021 (India Couture Week). Not only did we open the show, we also closed the biggest couture week of Delhi with the same energy, same enthusiasm and lots of glamour. The best bridal makeup academy in Delhi did the greatest couture designer, Rahul Mishra’s fashion film and we are over the moon!

Rahul Mishra, who is based of out Delhi, is the first Indian designer to showcase at the Paris Haute Couture Week. And now at the India Couture Week, the Daniel Bauer Academy students are elated to be heading the makeup and hair department and be a part of Rahul Mishra’s fashion film while redefining luxury one show at a time.

This shoot was one of the most unique and challenging one by far. Shot in centuries old havelis, one of which was shut for 80 years, and it was only opened for this one shoot. Crazy call times, no traditional makeup rooms, almost no electricity or makeup lights and yet the Daniel Bauer Academy students did it all like pros!

Our students learned so much on set, they figured out techniques to keep the makeup on fleek even in very hot temperatures. They even managed to do the most elegant modern bridal hairstyles and do so many makeup and hairstyle changes quickly and efficiently in this scorching heat. The Daniel Bauer Academy students are always taught to stand strong, and they did exactly that.

We are so thankful to Rahul Mishra’s entire team for keeping our students so comfortable throughout the entire shoot and Rahul’s continuous support and encouragement made our students so happy. Rahul Mishra’s latest collection which is so dreamy with lots of vibrant colours, pastels and hints of ivory shot in the rustic backdrop of the raw and abandoned Shekhawat havelis were the most perfect contrast ever. We can’t wait for you all to watch it.
